The department of international and comarative law

The Department of International and Comparative Law was established in 2007 and is specializing in the “International Law”, it also provides training in “Jurisprudence”, “International Economic Relations”, “International Business”.
Over the years the Department has led its students to graduation as Masters and Specialists.
Sixteen lecturers are working at the Department, among them: two Doctors of Law, eight Candidates of Sciences in Law, six lecturers.
Since February 2011 the Department has been headed by Associate Professor Svetlana Borisovna Melnik, Candidate of Law Sciences.
R. N. Minchenko, T. R. Korotky, N. A. Zelinskaya put special effort into the development of the Department of International and Comparative Law.
The lecturers of the Department are actively involved in academic life of the University. The First International Scientific and Practical Conference of students and young scientists has been held on 24–25 October 2011. The theme was “The International Law: de lege praeterita, instante, futura”. At the moment the Department is preparing for a conference on International Maritime Law.
