Department of Foreign languages for Professional Communication


Nowadays there is drastic demand in qualified employees having a good command of English and other languages, as external policy of Ukraine and its economy tend to integrate into the global world.
The Chair of Foreign languages for Professional Communication was created in 2006 to meet the country’s objectives. The teaching staff working here have had certain experience teaching foreign languages to the students whose majors are other than languages, namely Law, Economics, IT studies, Pharmacology, Medicine and etc. Having wide experience in teaching English to medical students Associate Professor, Head of the Chair K. B. Zaitseva, who came to lead the Chair, is the person to arrange the process of teaching foreign languages to the students specialized in the fields other than Language. The decision was made to share the fields of students’ specialization among lecturers and teachers. Thus, N. E. Alekseev, S. I. Lyubimova, L. S. Alekseeva, O. V. Obraztova, I. Petrenko are specialized in teaching English to students whose major is Law; I. E. Dobrovolskaya and others are specialized in International Law. T. V. Sinyova, O. V. Starostina and others are specialized in the field of Business and Economics. A. A. Velikaya teaches English to medical students and is in charge of the Medical field.
E. V. Berezinskaya and A. V. Koshchova teach Ukrainian to refugees according to the agreement between the university and the European Union and the UN Refugees Agency within the “Local Integration of Refugees in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine” Projects.
